Vimalasri

Portrait of Vimalasri

Vimalasri has assiduously practiced a very relaxed but dedicated approach to spiritual life for 15 years. Her first loves were all furry creatures, Indian food and table tennis. But since her Ordination in 2011 her love of the Dharma has and is still expanding her involvement within the Auckland Buddhist Centre mandala.

Perhaps it is her professional work as a medical editor requiring the qualities of curiosity, care and clarity which allows her to bring a wonderful gentle clarity to her Dharma talks and engagement with others. She also brings to her talks a sense of playfulness, ease and fun, something she shares with her furry friends.
The tenderness, warmth and wonder of being, and the poetry which emerge from these are also strong threads in Vimalasri’s life and Dharma practice.
She lives in the Women’s Community in Mt Albert.
Vimalasri means ‘She whose radiance is pure and stainless’
