Taradhi first came to the Auckland Buddhist center in 2009 to learn to meditate at the time her two children were 9 and 8 years old. She participated in various Buddhist courses at the center and study groups , in 2012 became a Mitra and was ordained early in 2022.
Taradhi enjoys supporting people on meditation courses and also co leads Thursday morning meditations . She has a strong interest in the dharma and how it can help us live our lives with more ease, resilience and meaning.
Professionally she has worked as a Registered Nurse specialising in the area of oncology. She is a qualified yoga teacher, and currently teaches yoga to small groups and a community wellness class for people living with cancer and chronic illness.
