Taradhi

Portrait of Taradhi

I first came to the Auckland Buddhist Centre in 2009 to learn to meditate. At the time my two children were 9 and 8 years old. I participated in various Buddhist courses at the centre and study groups, in 2012 became a mitra and was ordained early in 2022.

I enjoy supporting people on meditation courses and I'm part of the Saturday morning meditation team. I have a strong interest in the Dharma and how it can help us live our lives with more ease, resilience and meaning.

Professionally I've worked as a Registered Nurse specialising in the area of oncology. I'm a qualified yoga teacher, and currently teach yoga to small groups and a community wellness class for people living with cancer and chronic illness.
