Nityajyoti

Nityajyoti was ordained by Sangharakshita in 1987, at the first three month Guhyaloka Ordination retreat (in Spain).

Originally from the UK Midlands, he spent his first six years as an Order member at Vajraloka & Vajrakuta retreat centres in North Wales and developed a deep love of meditation. He moved to NZ in 1994 to work with the Wellington Buddhist Centre and has had a strong connection with Sudarshanaloka since then.

He lives in Whanganui with his partner Clare and co-leads a local sangha with Tejomani. He is a regular on Sudarshanaloka working retreats and enjoys sailing with Sailing Wanganui and Sailability Whanganui. Recently he's learned to scull (row) on the Whanganui Awa.
