Kamaladevi

Portrait of Kamaladevi

Kamaladevi first came across meditation at the Wellington Buddhist Centre in 1988 whilst working for a year in the public library. This began a continuing journey of exploration in the Dharma. She spent 10 years in the U.K. following up on what Triratna offered there and returned to NZ in 2001. She lived for many years in the Women's Community in Auckland. She was ordained in 2007 in Golden Bay and moved to Thames in February 2018 where she is now helping around the fringes of Sudarshanaloka and the Thames sangha. She enjoys mountains, bush, friendships and is fascinated by human nature.
