Open retreats at Sudarshanaloka

Conditions for open retreats under the Covid traffic light system

River at Sudarshanaloka

This page lists the conditions for retreats at Sudarshanaloka that don't require Covid vaccine passports.

There will be a mix of retreats running over the summer (those that require vaccine passports and those that don't). Conditions for retreats requiring vaccine passports can be found here.

Full conditions are listed below, and by booking on a retreat that does not require vaccine passports you are agreeing to them:

At a red traffic light

  • Retreat gatherings will be limited to 10 including the leaders

  • There will be one person per bedroom, unless people are from the same household

  • Scanning in using the QR code at Sudarshanaloka, or signing the manual register is mandatory

  • You are welcome to wear a mask if you wish to (unless you develop symptoms-see below) and we ask that you respect others who choose to

  • You will endeavour to keep one metre physical distance from other people, unless you are from the same household

  • If you develop cold or flu-like symptoms prior to the retreat, you must not attend

  • If you develop cold or flu-like symptoms while on retreat, you must agree to be taken to Thames for a Covid test, and agree to wear a mask until you return a negative test result

  • Extra awareness of hand washing and good hygiene practice is encouraged

At an orange traffic light

  • Retreat gatherings will be limited to 14 including the leaders (in practicality we'll be limiting numbers to 10 with a waitlist for others. If the traffic light is still orange as the retreat is due to begin, those on the waitlist will be given an opportunity to attend possibly bringing the retreat up to a maximum of 14)

  • There will be a maximum of two people per bedroom

  • Scanning in using the QR code at Sudarshanaloka, or signing the manual register is mandatory

  • You are welcome to wear a mask if you wish to (unless you develop symptoms-see below) and we ask that you respect others who choose to

  • You will endeavour to keep one metre physical distance from other people, unless you are from the same household bubble

At a green traffic light

We have not yet confirmed these conditions, but envisage being at a red or orange traffic light for December and January retreats.
